Student Ambassadors are a dynamic team of student leaders with a mission to promote Catholic virtues, the mission of Cedar Valley Catholic Schools and welcome and serve guests, prospective students, parents, alumni, and business & community leaders. Ambassadors will assist the advancement office with marketing and recruitment at Columbus Catholic High School. These student leaders will help to represent Columbus Catholic at open house events, visit days, conferences, and many other events.
Students interested in serving as a Columbus Catholic High School Student Ambassador must submit an application and teacher recommendation. Students will also participate in an interview before possibly being selected as an ambassador. Once selected, ambassadors will be formally trained and expected to familiarize themselves with all aspects of Columbus Catholic High School.
Completed application and teacher recommendations are required for consideration. Grade 9-12 students are encouraged to apply. Questions should be directed to Sarah Smith, CVCS Advancement Director, at [email protected].
Having started in 2017 with FIRST Steamworks as the game, we started with 13 members. As the season and team progressed, that number fluctuated before eventually settling just over 20 people.
This year the team has reached new heights! In only their third year of existence, the team took FIRST place at regionals in Cedar Falls, giving them an open invitation to Worlds which took place in Detroit at the end of April. We are so proud of their accomplishment!

Leading with Faith
At Columbus Catholic High School the mission of our Campus Ministry program is to work closely with students, parents, and staff to form our young men and women in the image of Christ. Through our work, we strive to build a community of faith, love, respect, and unity.
Our faith community is built upon prayer, service, and spiritual activity. We encourage our students to pursue leadership opportunities through Campus Ministry and to celebrate the rich, diverse history of the Catholic Church.
We maintain a strong connection with the Catholic parishes of Waterloo and Cedar Falls, ensuring that our students' faith grows within our community and their home parish.
At the very heart of Columbus, we celebrate Christ every day.
