Each day, morning and afternoon prayer is led by student leaders at each of our schools. We have a rotation of students and faculty who lead this time of prayer where our schools have time to reflect on the occurances of their day while listening to the messages of Christ. Various prayer opportunities are available in the classroom throughout the year.
All-school Liturgies are held weekly for students in K-8 grade and at least once-a-month for students in 9-12 grade. In addition to daily experiences of faith, these Eucharistic celebrations provide an opportunity for the Cedar Valley Catholic Schools community to pray together and receive the Body of Christ.
CVCS School Liturgies are vibrant and designed for the faith of elementary through high school students. Our students have the opportunity to serve in a variety of ministries throughout the Mass including, lector, liturgical choir, greeters, and Eucharistic ministers. All students and staff are encouraged to actively participate in Mass through prayer and song.
All-school prayer services are held throughout the year. The Cedar Valley Catholic Schools community celebrates student-led prayer service opportunities throughout Advent and Lent as well as various opportunities throughout the Liturgical year to highlight certain Saints or faith-based occasions. Columbus Catholic High School students and staff start each week with Monday Morning preparing for an academic experience rooted in faith.
For more information on the Cedar Valley Catholic Schools Mass and prayer service schedule, please refer to the weekly family newsletter or contact one of the school offices. Parents and loved ones are invited to attend these opportunities of communal prayer.
